Pulmonary angiography

This procedure takes X-ray pictures of the blood vessels in the lungs (pulmonary). The arteries and veins are not normally seen in an X-ray, so a contrast material is injected into one or more arteries or veins so that they can be seen. A contrast material is injected into the arteries that lead to the lungs so the X-ray may be taken.
